This is my go to pedal for guitar and bass fuzz. For me, civil war for guitar and green for bass. Extremely familiar muff tones, but more flexibility than I’ll ever need. Great pedal.
Probably my favorite muff variant that I have owned!
Just picked up the muff 3/14.i fell in love in the shop.its now on the board for good.
As Bassist and Muff estimator I can only say that I have found the best Muff out there. Finally a Muff that can also be used in Band or Live and not only in the bedroom alone! With the boost on the midrange frequencies the pedal responds perfectly with the tone that doesn't get lost while maintaining that characteristic sound. Beautiful and beautiful!
Last but not least Jesse is a great person and very honest. Responds to all emails and if there is a problem he does everything to solve it even at his expense. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
I know very little about fuzz but this thing is just such a joy to play. There's so much fun to be had in this pedal. I have been channeling Tool, the Beatles, Black Sabbath, Alabama Shakes, and more with it. Brings a smile to my face every time I kick it on.
This is my only pedal besides reverb. I use the trim pot on the mid drive to lower the volume, so I'll turn the pedal on with mid-drive for more tamed overdrive stuff, and then turn off the mid-drive for harsher, more acidic fuzz.
Also it is built so solidly and it looks badass.
Two things drew me to this pedal. First was my love of the aquabats, though I am more familiar with their earlier albums, I have seen a bit of their later tv shows, etc. The paint job on the pedal really stands out when you look down at your pedal board. The second thing is the design of combining two well loved pedals into on beast. With a simple turn of the blend knob you can go from a classic DS-1 style distortion, to a DS-1 overdrive. The ability to blend those two in your desired mix is really cool.
This pedal is awesome and if you have the chance to try it out or pick one up, I think you can’t go wrong.
I saw this as a pre-order and could not contain myself. With lightning fast strikes I hurled my cash, coins, and assorted pocket lint to the wizards at RUDE TECH and anxiously awaited my pedal. with bated breath (that was probably a little stinky from all those onions on my pizza) I solemnly plugged in my new acquisition and stood before the pulse pummeling power of my proffered power head. Let’s just say I was not disappointed. From its amazing artistry, to its solid build, and continuing to great tone,I can now pretend to be my very own master of chords and solos. And, while I fight crime, evil masterminds, and menacing alien overlords, I now also hold the power of goodness in my hands.
Solid pedal all around - looks, tone, and construction. Two thumbs up and a Shaka sign from this old Aquabats fanatic. It’s super rad.
It's the Aquabats sound I had been looking for. I picked this up as soon as I heard it.
Great Muff tones from three varieties, plus a toggle for removing tone is killer enough, but an adjustable mid drive as well? This pedal is well built and solid as a rock. knobs and switches are top notch. Inside is clean as a whistle.
Want Black Keys? it's there in the green mode with saturation about 3/4 way up. want grunge? Black Russian Mode. want Gilmour Solo tones? dime the volume and tone and leave saturation low. Looks great too. Don't over think it.
This kit is amazing. And the instructions and and support was amazing. If there was any other kits offered I’d buy them all. Jesse and his team are great. I will continue to look at rude tech as my first option for my pedal needs.
One muff to rule them all. A great pedal that has been a mainstay on my board for over a year. Give her the old college try
Putting this together was a blast, and the instructional video walks even soldering novices step-by-step through constructing it. The pedal itself is pretty simple but it adds an awesome grit to the synthesizers I run it through, with volume control to keep things from getting out of hand.
